How are the virtual classes run?

All virtual sessions, including privates, group classes and check-ins are run using the Zoom platform. This means you will need to have Zoom downloaded to your computer or phone before joining the class, however downloading and using Zoom is quick, free and easy which is why it has been chosen as our main platform.

I’m wanting to start private training, where should I start?

Private training will provide you with personalised programming and advice to help you succeed. You can work with your coach either in-person or online. Apply for coaching here and we will get in contact with you to let you know about your options.

How do I book a class?

Click on the book now button at the top our website to be taken to our booking page. Set your timezone then read through the class descriptions to find a class that suits your schedule and goals. If you are not able to make a class live then you are able to purchase a recording but we recommend attending live where possible. Select the class you wish to book into then follow the prompts to pay and finish booking.

How do I keep track of the zoom links for classes?

Each class has a unique zoom link so you need to make sure you’re attending the correct day and class at the right day and time. If you’re attending multiple classes a week it can be confusing to use the email confirmation links so we recommend choosing one of the methods below:

There are two ways we recommend:

  1. Adding your zoom links to your google or icalendar which can be done by choosing this option in your confirmation email.

  2. Log into acutiy (our booking app) on the Vertical Flex website. Log into the same page where you booked your classes. This is recommended especially for unlimited members who participate in a lot of classes with us. Make sure to always use the same email as the one you booked the classes with when making an acuity account.

Do I have to have my camera on?

We respect what you choose to do but it is a better class experience for both the instructor and yourself if you have your camera on. This allows you to fully participate and be given feedback by your instructor. Don’t worry if your camera quality isn’t the best, we will work with whatever you have.

Do I have to talk on camera?

We will never force anyone to talk on camera. At the beginning and end of class your instructor with greet you but we won’t be offended if you don’t reply using audio. We have mainly adopted a thumbs up/thumbs down communication style for bigger classes which works well. However, using the audio is the most efficient way to communicate with your instructor, just remember to mute yourself when you’re not talking to keep our sound quality clear.
